Whats the difference between the XP 2.0 & the XP 3.0

Updated 2 weeks ago by Lectric eBikes

The Lectric XP™ 3.0 is your gateway to an elevated and powerful adventure! It takes our award-winning XP™ 2.0 design to the next level, providing our best ride to date at no extra cost! Check out all its new features below:

What Changes were made to the XP?

  • The 3.0 has a rear rack integrated into the frame making it sturdy enough to add a passenger- with a payload capacity of 150 lbs for the rack and 330 lbs for the eBike.
    • The display has a new feature called Passenger Mode which will regulate and limit the speed of the bike for added safety.
    • We also added a new Passenger Package equipped with a passenger seat, foot pegs, and a passenger handlebar (sold separately).
  • We redesigned our hub motor and increased the peak wattage to 1000W
  • The motor controller was increased from 18 amps to 20 amps which eliminates burnout or failure potential.
  • Pedaling efficiency is better than ever before with our new 11-28 Tooth Freewheel
  • Newly upgraded Hydraulic Brake system allows for a smoother and more comfortable stopping experience, without the premium price tag.
  • Brake Rotors on the 2.0 were 160 mm but with our increased motor power we decided to increase the brake rotors on the 3.0 to 180 mm for more braking power and leverage.
  • We also increased the durometer of the grips and redesigned the saddle which will help you ride longer, comfortably!
  • New custom paint job for a fresh look

With the release of our XP 3.0, we also introduce new accessories! We now have Food Delivery Packages, a Platform for any Rack, a Hard Cooler, and a new Elite Headlight! We also partnered with Thule to sell the Yepp Maxi Child Seat. Plus, all existing accessories are compatible with the 3.0, respectively.

These accessories allow you to customize the bike to meet all your needs!

What is the difference between the XP model and the XP Step-Thru model?

The Lectric XP and XP Step-Thru have almost all the same parts and features including the drivetrain, foldability, brakes, motor, controller, display, wheels, top speed of 28mph, and charger.

The main change is the frame shape. The top tube of the bike was lowered for better accessibility and to assist riders with lower mobility!

It's important to note that there are some minor differences. The batteries on the XP and XP Step-Thru are both 48V, but they are shaped slightly differently. This means you will not be able to use an XP battery with an XP Step-Thru bike and vice versa.

There are other minor differences between the bikes such as the shape and size of the fenders, rack, and seat post length.
