Accessories: XL Cargo Pannier Bags Installation

Updated 2 weeks ago by Lectric eBikes

Ready to take your cargo abilities to the next level? The XL Pannier Bags can hold up to 66 liters of cargo!

Securing the Pannier Bags to the rear rack:
  1. Begin by identifying the front and back of the pannier bag; the front will display the word "Lectric" and will have 3 buckles while the back will have 4 velcro strips.
  2. Place the backside of the pannier bag on either side of the rear rack.
  3. Unhook the 4 velcro straps, wrap the straps around the outer frame of the rear rack, and velcro the straps secure. The straps should be placed on the outsides of the two Yepp Windows.
  4. Repeat this process on the other side of the rear rack with the other Pannier Bag.
  5. Perform a pull test to be sure both XL Cargo Pannier Bags were installed properly and will not fall off while riding.

Securing cargo into the Pannier Bag:
  1. The top lid of the XL Cargo Pannier Bag is secured via 3 buckles and 2 pieces of velcro. To open the lid, begin by pinching the middle tabs of each buckle until it pops open, then pull the lid up until the velcro detaches.
  2. For taller cargo contents, first, tuck the lid into the pannier bag and place it flat on the back of the bag. Once the lid is tucked, place your cargo into the bags, being sure to distribute the weight on each side accordingly. Do not exceed the 33 liters of cargo capacity per bag.
If you would like to use the lid, place the lid over the top of the cargo, being sure the 2 velcro pieces engage once again. Next, secure the 3 buckles by pushing the top of the buckle into the bottom until an audible click is produced. Perform a pull test to be sure the lid is secure.
It is always the user’s responsibility to ensure the cargo loaded on the Lectric XPedition does not interfere or impact the user’s ability to safely operate the Lectric XPedition.

Please read the Lectric XPedition Owners Manual for more information.

Lectric eBikes recommends adding Running Boards to help support any excess weight and secure the bottom of the pannier bag to the bike (sold separately).

Securing the Pannier Bag to the Running Boards:
  1. Unhook the velcro strap at the bottom of the XL Cargo Pannier Bags.
  2. Loop the strap around the running board platform and resecure the velcro.
  3. Perform a light pull test to ensure the pannier bag is secured.
